SANDHIKHARKA: Two journalists were assaulted by an unidentified gang in Sandhikharka, Arghakhanchi on Monday night. A group comprising five unidentified people attacked Ramesh Pokharel and Surya Prasad Bhusal on Monday night at 9 pm.Pokharel is the news coordinator at Radio Deurali and local reporter for Sagarmatha Television. Bhusal is a newsreader at Radio Deurali. Different journalists' and media organisations based in the district, including the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Nepal Press Union, Press Chautari Nepal, Revolutionary Journalists Association, Yuba Patrakar Manch and Community Radio Deurali F.M. 101 MHz, condemned the attack on Pokharel and Bhusal.
Likewise, Tika Bista, a Rukum based correspondent of the Rajdhani national daily was attacked by an unidentified gang in Rukum district headquarters earlier.
