Students from 3 dist in one school

KAPILVASTU - Students from three districts study in a school in Kapilvastu district.

Although the school is in Kapilvastu, students from Arghakhanchi and Dang districts also come to this school at Dhankhola of Shivagadhi VDC- 3 in the western part of the district, as it lies in the border of three districts.

In the school which has up to Class- 5, 40 students of Siddara VDC of Arghakhanchi and 50 of Gobardiha VDC of Dang come to study.

Roshan Ranamagar of Kalakate of Gobardiha VDC -1 in Dang said he came here as there is no school nearby his village.

Likewise, Binod Gharti Chhetri of Class-4, who came from Siddara of Arghakhanchi, said he came here as he had to walk more than two hours to reach a school in his own district, but can arrive here in half an hour.

Class-3 student Geeta Gurung said she came from Gobardiha, Dang, as she can have friends of not only one but many places.

School Principal Gangotri Prasad Mishra said even if the school is far from home, he felt pleasant because of the hard working students and love of the parents.

More than 250 students of six VDCs of three districts study here but the physical infrastructure of the school is not good. The school has raw plaster and tin roof.

Mishra called on the District Education Office Kapivalstu to allocate budget for repair of the school which is a model for teaching children of three districts.
